Former Gimpo FC manager and coach suspended for ‘extreme selection of youth players’

The former coach of Gimpo FC’s youth team A was suspended for three years and the former coach of Gimpo FC’s youth team B was suspended for two years after being named as the perpetrator of extreme selection by a player of the K League 2 Gimpo FC youth team.

In addition, the former coach of Gimpo FC’s youth team C was also suspended for two years.

The Korea Football Association held a fairness committee at the Jongno Football Hall in Jongno-gu, Seoul, on Sept. 9 and made the decision following an incident at the Gimpo FC youth team in the K League 2.

The disciplinary action comes more than a year after a youth team player made an extreme choice.

In addition, a TMG FC coach and a player 메이저놀이터 were each suspended for one year. TMG FC is the team that the deceased youth player played for in middle school.

D, who played for the Gimpo FC youth team, took his own life in a dormitory building last April. In his suicide note, he described verbal abuse from coaches and bullying from fellow players.

In April of this year, the disciplined leaders were charged with child abuse under the Child Welfare Act.

The KFA held a fairness committee on April 2, but failed to reach a conclusion on the matter, and a week later, the committee met again to finalize the disciplinary action against them.

Suspension is a discipline that prohibits the players from engaging in any activity within the jurisdiction of the KFA.

They have one week from the date of notification to appeal the decision to the higher authority, the Korea Sports Council.
